Paname Run Club

Paname Run Club

Paris, France

Paname Run Club (PRC) is Paris’s social running crew for all paces, all vibes, and all people. Founded in 2022, PRC turns the city into a playground with two signature weekly runs: the high-energy Mardisco Run on Tuesday nights — an 8 km party on the move with music and post-run DJ sets — and the laid-back Coffee Run on Sunday mornings, ending at one of Paris’s best cafés. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll find an inclusive, friendly community ready to welcome you. Scenic routes, great conversation, and unforgettable post-run hangs are all part of the experience.

Paris Running Club

Paris, France

Paris Running Club is a pioneering urban running crew founded in 2008 by Jay Smith alongside NIKELAB and Black Rainbow. Originally created to help beginners complete a 10K, it has evolved into a creative, energy-fueled community that celebrates Paris’s streets as its playground. Every Tuesday evening, runners gather in pace-defined groups (Cool, Mid, Hard) from iconic urban hubs like NIKELAB, weaving through the city’s architecture, riversides, and illuminated boulevards. With around 130 active members, PRC is less about speed and more about vibrancy—high-energy runs, inclusive vibes, and a passion for blending movement with city culture.

Beginner-friendly run clubs serve as the welcoming gateway into the running community, proving that everyone has to start somewhere. These clubs excel at creating non-intimidating environments where walking breaks are encouraged, questions are welcomed, and no pace is too slow. They understand that beginning runners need more than just company – they need education about proper form, injury prevention, gear selection, and training principles. The best beginner clubs offer structured programs like Couch to 5K, providing achievable milestones that build confidence alongside fitness. Leaders are chosen not for their speed but for their patience, encouragement, and ability to remember their own starting point. These clubs celebrate every achievement, from the first continuous mile to the first race finish, understanding that these moments are as significant as any PR. Many offer mentorship programs, pairing newcomers with experienced runners who provide guidance and accountability. The atmosphere prioritizes progress over pace, effort over speed, and showing up over showing off. Beginner clubs often become incubators for lifelong runners, with many members eventually becoming leaders themselves, paying forward the support they received. They prove that the running community's greatest strength isn't its fastest members but its ability to welcome and nurture those taking their first steps.
